Position Description

Base pay is influenced by several factors including a candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and anticipated contributions to meet the needs of the business, along with internal pay equity and external market driven rates. The salary range displayed has not been adjusted for geographical location. This position manages the team that leads the implementation of business platforms to host group customers who choose innovative products with self-funded/ASO financial arrangements. This position supports ongoing relationships with our larger Marquee customers, customers using our shared services model and our third party administrator model, managing large, multi-faceted, strategic implementations of new customers and has operational accountability for the seamless delivery of services to group customers utilizing the platform.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • This position leads the teams through the implementation of new platforms to accommodate network shared services arrangements and innovative third party administrator services.
  • This position leads the team who is responsible for interacting with all areas of the enterprise in order to address any service issues related to our alliances with external customers. These customers could be requesting a shared services model from us or could be requesting third party administrator functions from us. This position will coordinate with areas of the customer that can resolve issues and maintain ongoing operations.
  • This position leads the team with responsibility for oversight of the implementation of new customers and ongoing monitoring of the performance of Capital, customers and vendors related to these business opportunities. Coordinating ongoing dashboards related to performance for both the customers and internal management are also included.
  • This position leads the team who will interact directly with customers and vendors on an ongoing basis to ensure outstanding member experience for our customers. In these alliances, our customers and vendors potentially have direct interaction with our members. We, therefore want to ensure our member experience is consistent regardless of who the interaction is with.
  • This position leads the team who handle the renewal of our Marquee customers and/or New large group prospect customers, coordinating activities cross-functionally to meet the customers asks and expectations. Including coordination with vendors to support any programs being carved out/in and enhancing our relationship with these customers producing a positive customer experience.

Skills:

  • Ability to innovate new ideas, tools, and approaches related to process evaluation and re-engineering.
  • Ability to manage personnel and budgets proactively, interfacing with various levels of personnel within and outside the organization.
  • Regularly demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills to establish and maintain clarity of direction with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to make decisions by processing information quickly and assessing alternatives (often based on incomplete data).
  • Demonstrated track record of success, implementing new strategies in a complex environment, with an ability to analyze, assess and respond to enterprise needs with impactful solutions
  • Ability to proactively identifies and mitigates risk with respect to project deliverable and long-term sustainability.
  • Exercises collaboration skills and group facilitation skills with all levels of the organization

Knowledge:

  • Experience in planning, organizing and managing major activities/initiatives.
  • Proven experience with project management (waterfall and Agile) and change management theory and practical application.
  • Health insurance Industry-specific knowledge.
  • Commitment to professional development, staying abreast of current project management, insurance industry trends, and technology through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars.
  • Strong understanding of the different roles and goals of departments within a payer organization and how they interact is preferred.

Experience:

  • 5 years related experience.
  • 1 year staff, team lead or project lead experience.
  • Experience leading a significant change initiative requiring change management leadership.
  • Experience leading diverse work groups/project teams to successfully meet established objectives.
  • Demonstrated planning, organizing, and managing of major corporate level initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high profile assignments involving both people and business issues where there are time and budget constraints.

Location: 

  • This position is classified hybrid, which requires onsite work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
