Position Description

Base pay is influenced by several factors including a candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and anticipated contributions to meet the needs of the business, along with internal pay equity and external market driven rates. The salary range displayed has not been adjusted for geographical location. The Executive Programs Partner and Assistant supports the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and plays a critical role in the effectiveness of the Office of the CIO. This position combines senior executive administrative support with program coordination, project tracking, and executive-level follow-through across technology, digital, data, and transformation initiatives.-The role serves as a trusted partner to the CIO, ensuring priorities are advanced, leadership meetings are effective, and key initiatives are executed with discipline and visibility. This individual acts as an extension of the CIO in managing day-to-day execution while enabling the CIO to focus on strategy, leadership, and enterprise outcomes.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Executive Support to the CIO

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the CIO, managing complex calendars, meetings, travel, external visitors, and executive logistics.
  • Proactively manage meeting cadence and priorities to ensure time is focused on the highest-impact technology and business initiatives.
  • Prepare agendas, briefing materials, and pre-reads for ELT, Board, and technology leadership meetings.
  • Attend select leadership, operating, and governance meetings as a partner to document minutes, decisions, and action items.
  • Ensure participants are prepared in advance and accountable for follow-ups and commitments.
  • Anticipate needs and ensure the CIO is fully prepared for meetings, presentations, and enterprise communications.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion.
  • Manage budget tracking and oversee contracts and vendor engagements as delegated by the CIO.

Program and Initiative Execution

  • Partner with the CIO to track strategic priorities across IT, Digital, Data, Security, and transformation initiatives.
  • Maintain dashboards, trackers, and action logs for key initiatives, risks, and dependencies.
  • Drive follow-up with leaders and teams to ensure commitments are met without requiring the CIO to chase updates.
  • Support preparation of executive-level materials including Board updates, leadership presentations, operating reviews, and strategic readouts.
  • Assist with research, analysis, and synthesis of information to support CIO decision-making.

Project Management and Coordination

  • Act as project manager for CIO-sponsored initiatives and special projects.
  • Coordinate timelines, stakeholders, dependencies, and deliverables across technology and business teams.
  • Support CIO leadership team meetings, planning sessions, and offsites.
  • Identify risks, gaps, or misalignment and proactively escalate issues to the CIO.

Support to the CIO Leadership Team

  • Provide limited administrative and coordination support to CIO direct-report VPs, primarily related to shared initiatives, leadership forums, and executive deliverables.
  • Help ensure consistency and quality in materials, communications, and follow-through across the CIO organization.

Analytical & Research Work

  • Gather and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, insights, and areas   for improvement. Synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations for executives.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations that communicate findings and strategic recommendations to senior management, ensuring that decisions are data-driven.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align their analysis with organizational goals and ensure that insights are relevant and accountable.

Other Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships across IT and business functions to facilitate communication and alignment.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve meeting effectiveness, workflows, and operational rigor within the Office of the CIO.

Location:

  • This position is classified hybrid, which requires onsite work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Communications, or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting senior executives, ideally within IT, Digital, or technology-focused organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex initiatives and driving execution in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including development of executive and Board-level materials.

  • Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, think strategically, and operate independently.
